Tack 2024 - Emmeli Holm Metallformgivning

Thank you 2024

2024 has been a year filled with change, learning and great meetings. During the year I moved to my new workshop, Smedjan Blackeberg , which has become a place where my creative journey has truly blossomed.

I have had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people! Clients who appreciate my craft and friends and family who inspire, support and help me through my journey. Your meetings and your energy have been invaluable and mean so much to me.

2024 was also the year when I started participating in more markets, which has been incredibly fun and rewarding to meet both colleagues and customers face to face and share my passion for metal design.

This year has been filled with amazing and challenging assignments, exciting collaborations, and new learnings. Here are some of the most fun things I've had the pleasure of doing:

Emmeli Holm at Handkraft Kvinnokraft

Market participation

I have participated in several markets over the year, with a strong focus on female participants and creators, such as Local Femmes Market and Handkraft Kvinnokraft . It has been an honor to be a part of these initiatives, meet other amazing exhibitors, and contribute to the community.

Craft Academy

Through the Craft Academy , I was able to attend a series of seminars in digital marketing, social media, advertising and e-commerce. It was very fun and educational and I also got to meet many other skilled craftsmen. There I got to hang out and be inspired by ceramists, stonemasons, bag makers, etc.

Talented friends

I am lucky to have friends who are very skilled in their fields and who want to help me. Kotryna , who is a photographer, took nice pictures of me when I was working in the forge. Christofer , who is a graphic designer, helped me create a new logo. I am incredibly grateful for all your help!

Emmeli Holm commissioned work

Special commissioned works

A necklace inspired by the Thin Lizzy singer's iconic silver necklace, created for Oskar . A new matching earring for Maiken, who lost one part of a pair she received in Bali from her mother-in-law.

Collaboration with Göran Kling

Getting to renovate castings, set stones and contribute to his jewelry production is both inspiring and educational. Göran is a great role model and getting to work with his jewelry is an honor!

Emmeli Holm is taking a sand casting course

Deepening in sand casting

I have been able to develop my skills further and one technique that I have explored is "cast-not-set" or "cast-in-place". Here you can see a ring I have made using that technique. I have also been involved in giving courses at Smedjan Blackeberg which has been a rewarding and educational experience.

Job as production manager

At Silvercut, I have gained insight into jewelry production with laser engraving and laser cutting, which has opened new perspectives and been a valuable experience.

2024 has truly been a year of growth, creation, and learning. I am so grateful for all of this and look forward to 2025 with curiosity!
